If you don't know the difference between MP4 and ProRes4444, choose MP4.

ProRes4444 is a file format made for professional video. It is the highest quality, but it creates very big files. If you are just starting out, MP4 will work great for you. Unless you are a pro you won't notice the difference in quality and the file sizes are much smaller.

Another reason to use MP4 is that it's more compatible. ProRes requires that QuickTime be installed on your editing computer. If it's not installed, your movie will look black and you'll only hear the audio. If that happens to you, contact support and we will re-render the movie for you as an MP4.
